What are we?
Contented Canines 2nd Chance Rescue was created to take in dogs who have lost their homes.  Our goal is to train, spay/neuter, bring current on vaccinations, and find appropriate permanent homes for our rescued dogs.  To meet this goal we carefully scrutinize all applicants.

All our dogs are housed in Foster Homes instead of a shelter. Shelters are so often over full and most dogs don’t do well in the shelter environment. Our goal is to train, spay/neuter, bring current on vaccinations, and find appropriate permanent homes for our rescued dogs. To meet this goal we need more foster homes and we need everyone to spread the word about our rescue dogs.  When we have someone interested in one of our dogs, we set up a time for them to meet the dog. If they are wanting to adopt, they must first fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire. We carefully scrutinize all applicants. We do not adopt by first come, we adopt to who we feel will be the best match for the dog.
