…STOP…COME BACK HERE…NO BITING….GIVE ME MY SOCKS BACK….AAAAGGGHHHH!…. …And so it began…I had never planned to be a dog trainer when I grew up – but here I am. In 1999 I was blessed with a six week old beautifully naughty puppy who challenged me to no end. With the help of Contented Canines, I won the battle and went on to raise a happy, healthy, balanced pet and managed to keep my sanity intact. The fun and rewarding time I had training my puppy made me realize that maybe I could help other pet owners like myself with challenges of their own. I began helping at Contented Canines as an entry level Assistant and fortunately for me climbed the corporate ladder over a seven year period to become a Level II Dog Obedience Instructor. At the present time my pack consists of three wonderful dogs – Mersaydees (who started my career) is a ten year old mixed breed female who attained at a very early age her UKC Agility Champion title; Salem who is a six year old mixed breed female (Mersaydees’ niece by the way) is truly the definition of Man’s best friend; and last but not least Guinness who is a two year old Papillion (rescued from an irresponsible breeder) currently working through some fear and confidence issues and well on his way to being a great dog not to mention really cute.
